Global Leadership Summit telecast at Norwich church

A two-day worship event featuring a telecast of this year’s Global Leadership Summit (GLS) will be held at Drayton Hall near Norwich on November 9 and 10, and there are still some tickets remaining.

The GLS is a two-day event telecast live in High Definition from the campus of Willow Creek Community Church near Chicago every August to hundreds of locations in North America, watched by an expected 305,000 people committed to getting better as leaders.

Throughout the autumn, Summit events take place at an additional 675 plus sites around the world, in 128 countries and 60 languages, meaning that over 400,000 people will engage with the event worldwide.

The full line-up of speakers includes:

  • Bill Hybells - Willow Creek Community Church Pastor, author and founder of GLS, pictured above
  • Andy Stanley - North Point Community Church Pastor and author
  • Gary Haugen - CEO of International Justice Mission
  • Sheryl Sandberg - Chief Operating Officer of Facebook
  • Fredrik Härén -  Author and speaker of Business Creativity
  • Bryan Stevenson - Founder and Director of the Equal Justice Initiative
  • Juliet Funt - CEO of Whitespace at Work
  • Laszlo Bock - Co-founder and CEO of Humu. Formerly the Senior Vice President of People Operations at Google, Inc
  • Sam Adeyemi - Pastor and founder of Daystar Christian Centre

  • Marcus Buckingham - Best-selling author and global researcher.

The Norwich event next month is being organised by two local church leaders – Ian Savory, senior pastor at Lighthouse Community Church in Sheringham, and Nick Blanch, Director of Norwich Youth For Christ. It includes live worship with a live host, but the teaching is provided on large screens. The event is aimed at leaders in all walks of life, Christian and secular, but is delivered from a Christian perspective.

Nick Blanch said “We love being able to be a part of this world class event! Watching these speakers on a screen doesn’t always sound like the most appealing of events, but the talks are so high quality that you quickly forget it’s a screen and the atmosphere of being together with so many like-minded leaders who are hungry to grow - it’s an electric environment.”

Over 130 people are now booked in but there are still places left. Tickets are priced at £70 for both days or £40 for a day ticket.

The event runs from 9am to 5pm each day.
