New venue as Norfolk ministers pray together

PrayerCandles2008: A group of Norfolk church ministers will be meeting together on August 6 to pray for the city and county at a new venue.

The August monthly meeting of Ministers Praying Together has changed venue from that publicised previously. The meeting will now be held at the Church Rooms, Costessey Baptist Church, The Street, Costessey NR8 5AB. Although August is a busy month with many away on holiday we hope you will be able to make time to join us, said administrator Hilary Oliver. They meet at 12.30 for a buffet lunch before praying for our city and county from 1 to 2 p.m.

“A small group of ministers have been meeting together for some years now with a shared desire to see the kingdom of God enlarged in the local area,” said Hilary. “Setting aside the first Wednesday lunchtime each month, they demonstrate the belief that God’s mighty purposes may be advanced among us through united prayer and fellowship by putting it into practice and praying together.”

The meeting for 3rd September will be at Earlham Christian Centre and on 1st October the meeting will be at Norwich Family Life Church, Hall Lane, Drayton.

All leaders, clergy and ministers are welcome. If you would like to host a meeting, or wish for more information, please contact the administrator Hilary Oliver on 01603 260222 or minpray@btinternet.com

Do you appreciate our service and stories?

The Network Norwich & Norfolk website has been published for over 13 years now and we have an established team of professional journalists covering the activities, organisations and churches which make up the county’s Christian community. Our whole purpose is to support that community by daily providing accurate, unbiased stories and features.

To pay for that service, we rely on our partner organisations, advertisers and readers to, in turn, support us financially. We want to keep the website free for everyone to access and continue to be able to pay for writers to produce the content you can enjoy every day.

We would like to ask you to consider supporting our work and suggest you might want to make a small regular donation of just £1 a week and become one of our 100 Friends, or a larger one-off or annual amount.

Because we are part of a registered charity we can reclaim Gift Aid on your donations if you are a tax-payer.
