All Saints’ Centre, Norwich, was full to overflowing, with kitchen staff on high-alert, when The Norfolk Keyboard Junior Orchestra (NJKO) came to visit on Saturday December 7.
Parents relaxed at the tables over a cup of tea or a snack while the group and its leader played a selection of Christmas music for everyone’s pleasure.
It was a very happy afternoon for all involved and created a festive atmosphere.
The NKJO is a Norfolk Music Service
ensemble. It started in September 2012 as a junior version of the Norfolk Keyboard Orchestra that has performed in All Saints’ previously, and it meets at Taverham Junior School
from 4.00 - 5.00 during the school term. Currently the orchestra has 14 members, aged 7-11, all pupils at Norfolk junior schools but there is still room for a few more.
The pictures show some of the members of the orchestra in action on Saturday.
