City Church Wymondham becomes Alive

ALIVE LOGO

A south Norfolk church is relaunching under a new name and linked to a Lincolnshire-based church network

On Sunday September 21, City Church Wymondham will be re-launching as Alive Wymondham at its 10am service in Central Hall.

City Church has been meeting as a congregation in Wymondham since 2000 and has grown steadily over the years.  Alive Church (formerly New Life Lincoln), which is led by senior pastors Stuart & Irene Bell, has been based in Lincoln for many years and consists of Alive Lincoln and four other locations in the region.

Wymondham pastor Barry Rooks said "An opportunity arose at the end of last year to begin looking at the possibility of becoming part of Alive. After much discussion and prayer it was felt that this was the way forward for us and the decision was made for City Church to join with Alive."

"The joining together of these two churches creates a church of over 1500 people in 7 locations across Norfolk and Lincolnshire. The pooling of resources and experience will be of huge benefit to Wymondham and the surrounding area. We hope to see many more Alive locations established in the future."

"Our passion for Wymondham and all God desires for it remains and indeed burns brighter every day.  Our heart is to serve and be a resource to the town and we are committed to doing everything we can to build every man, woman and child into the people God longs for them to be.  We have a great desire to see everyone in this community being given the opportunity to thrive and to know Jesus and His plans for their lives."

"God has some wonderful plans for Wymondham, the surrounding area and its people and we would love you to come and celebrate with us as we launch Alive Wymondham on Sunday September 21 at 10am'" said Barry.

Everyone is welcome!  Tea and coffee are available from 9.30am."
