Join team launching new Sprowston Filling Station

Sprowston Churches Together are issuing an open invitation to those who would like to be involved in planning the launch of Norfolk’s fourth Filling Station based in Sprowston to join them in a series of weekly training meetings starting this week.

Sprowston Churches Together are planning to launch a new monthly Filling Station based at Sprowston Manor later this year.  The Sprowston Filling Station will be the fourth Filling Station in Norfolk alongside Filling Stations in the Norfolk Broads, North Norfolk and Yare Valley

Filling Stations are a new informal way of expressing the Christian faith. Using short, sharp, monthly mid-week evening ‘celebration’ meetings held in non-church venues Filling Stations offer high quality speakers and teachers, contemporary sung worship and powerful, accessible prayer ministry.

The Filling Station, which was born out of the Church of England in the West Country, has grown exponentially in terms of venues opening all over the United Kingdom and aims to serve and refresh church leaders,  members of existing congregations and those seeking answers to the meaning of life.  Their meetings are designed to be overtly spiritual but presented in a manner that those outside the church would feel comfortable.

In preparation for the launch of the new Sprowston Filling Station a series of weekly training meetings will begin on Friday, January 6, 7pm-9pm at Sprowston Manor starting with an Introduction to the Filling Station. Anyone who is interested in supporting this new initiative is invited to come along to these training meetings which will focus on the different elements of a Filling Station meeting.

The training will be held at the Zest Cafe Bar and Grill at Sprowston Manor as follows:

Friday, January 6, 7pm-9pm: Introduction to the Filling Station
Friday, January 13, 7pm-9pm: Worship
Friday, January 20, 7pm-9pm: Visit from James Nickols, Filling Station Regional Manager
Friday, January 27, 7pm-9pm: Word
Friday, February 3, 7-9pm: Testimony
Friday, February 10, 7pm-9pm: Trial Filling Station Meeting

The launch date of the Sprowston Filling Station is still to be confirmed.
