Norfolk Christian youth leagues approach season's climax

The Norfolk Christian Youth leagues are approaching the climax of their seasons as league secretary Alan Barnes reports.

The under 12s league split into two halves after the Christmas break.  It is a three-way competition between Stoke United, Brooke Adventurers and Thorpe Rovers as to who will be champions.  The key match will be on March 20 when Stoke host Brooke.

In the under 14s league, Happisburgh Hammers lead the way.  Fixtures go through until after Easter and Happisburgh could have the league sewn up by April 21 when they entertain their closest rivals, Brooke Adventurers.

The under 16s is another close league.  Brooke Adventurers are the current leaders, but Lighthouse Purple and Sprowston YEP Bears both have several games in hand which could lead to an exciting finish.

The under 10s have been playing indoor football over the winter period and 7-a-side fixtures outside will recommence from February 24.

The cup competitions are underway in all age groups.  Semi-finals are due to be played on March 24, with the finals on April 28.
