YMCA Norfolk needs Families Engagement Workers

YMCAIconPurple300A rapid response team has been commissioned by Norfolk Children’s Services to provide a response to families in crisis and YMCA Norfolk now requires a Senior Families Engagement Worker and three part-time Families Engagement Workers for it.

Team Role: 

  • To build relationships of trust with vulnerable and marginalised parents and families within the community.
  • The aim is to be part of the prevention of care under the Alternatives to Care provision, and/or providing opportunities to enable reunification within the family unit. We can provide support and advice, build parents confidence and skills. Empowering families to experience transformation in their lives.

Position: Senior Families Engagement Worker (Rapid Response Team)
Pay: £11.67 per hour
Location:  Countywide
Contract Type: Fixed Term until 31st March 2019
Hours per week:  37.5 hours

Job role: This role will be managing the rapid response team and the on call service for families who require outreach support via the telephone.

Pay: £10.24 per hour
Location:  Countywide
Contract Type: Fixed Term until 31st March 2019
Hours per week:  22.5 hours (there is potential for more hours)

Job role: The main area of this role will be to support families and young people in a crisis situation at short notice.

22.5 hours Families Engagement Worker Job Description (Rapid Response Team)


Position: 2 x Families Engagement Worker (Rapid Response Team)
Pay: £10.24 per hour
Location:  Countywide
Contract Type: Fixed Term until 31st March 2019
Hours per week:  2 x 20 hour posts (there is potential for more hours)

Job role: The main area of this role will be to support families and young people in a crisis situation at short notice.
