Non-stop prayer space at Norwich tabernacle
A ten-day 24 hour prayer event will be held at the House of Prayer on Fishergate in Norwich between Ascension Day and Pentecost (May 10 - 20) and there is the opportunity for people to book a prayer time.
The recreation of the Tabernacle Inner Court and Holy of Holies has now been set up within the church building, creating a beautiful prayer space.
Jill Gower from Call to Prayer, who are organising this event, said, "We have hosted this event now for several years and are inviting church and ministry leaders, congregations and members to come alongside each other, to seek God and pray for this region and its people. Coming together in this way with other believers will be a great time to fellowship, worship and share communion with God."
The calendar is filling up steadily but there are still opportunities for individuals and small groups to book a prayer time; please contact Steve Maylam (Call to Prayer trustee) on 07838 604060 or at email@example.com.
Jill said, "Let's rise to the challenge and keep the prayer and worship flowing during this time!"
Thy Kingdom Come
Thy Kingdom Come is a global prayer movement, called by the Archbishops of Canterbury and York, that invites Christians around the world to pray for more people to come to know Jesus. What started in 2016 as an invitation from the Archbishops of Canterbury and York to the Church of England has grown into an international and ecumenical call to prayer.
For more information about this global prayer movement, see: http://www.thykingdomcome.global/
Call to Prayer in Norwich have produced a helpful prayer booklet entitled 'His Kingdom Come', which is a ten-day guide of blessing and declarations based on The Lord's Prayer, written to come in line with the Archbishops' initiative. This is available through the online Shop on the Call to Prayer website - just click on this link: http://www.call2prayer.co.uk/paypaljs.html
Pentecost Sunday will be celebrated on May 20 at the 'Spirit Break Out' event at Norwich Cathedral at 6.30pm.
