North Norfolk village opens up for church funds

2018: Heydon Open Gardens 2018 takes place on June 17 and provides an opportunity to explore the grounds of Heydon Hall plus a variety of gardens in historic and picturesque Heydon village, whilst raising funds for the local parish church.

The villagers invite everyone to visit one of the prettiest villages in Norfolk this Father’s Day and take a stroll around the gardens of Heydon Hall (which are rarely open to the public), The Grange, The Old Cottage, The Old Rectory, Poppyland, and others.

There will also be entertainment by Holt Ridge Morris dancers as well as craft, plant and book stalls plus refreshments on the village green. Three’s Company will also be performing summertime songs in St Peter & St Paul church from 3:30 pm until 4:30 pm.

The event will run from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm and admission will be £5 per person (or £3 for Heydon Hall gardens only). Children under 15 will be admitted free. Car parking is also free and dogs on leads are welcome in Heydon Hall park.

Admission tickets can be purchased on the day at the main gates to Heydon Hall and on Heydon village green. All proceeds from this event will be donated to St Peter & St Paul church in Heydon and the Norfolk charity Nelson's Journey.
