Chaplaincy week at Gorleston hospital

2018: The James Paget University Hospital Chaplaincy is holding a Chaplaincy week at the beginning of September, and is inviting clergy and other church leaders to find out more about the work.

The week will run from Monday September 3 to Friday September 7 and the hospital chaplains would like to welcome clergy and faith leaders in the surrounding communities to attend an information morning at 10.30am on Wednesday September 5 to find out more about how they work as chaplains and to hear about their multi-faith and multidisciplinary approach to pastoral/spiritual care at the James Paget.

The chaplaincy team would also like to work more closely with those leaders to support their faith communities, and to help with visiting their folk when they are in hospital in order to support the pastoral/caring work that goes on locally.

There will be a short presentation on how chaplaincy works at JPUH, a time for a Q and A session, and of course there will be refreshments. The chaplaincy team would like as many to attend as possible. The venue is the Hospital Chapel (Eats Corridor).

It would be helpful if anyone intending to come could let Revd Dr Alan Palmer know in order to plan catering (also any dietary needs).

Revd Dr Alan Palmer, Lead Chaplain, James Paget University Hospital, Gorleston, Great Yarmouth, NR31 6LA.
