Norwich hears pastor, Policeman and tramp tale

Essex Baptist Pastor Dave McDowell has been a Policeman, fed orphans in India and lived under a boat as a tramp. He told his remarkable story at the October dinner of Norwich FGB on Wednesday October 26.

Dave had a secure job as a policeman, a happy marriage, and a future. But after responding to the gospel, found himself divorced, jobless, and living as a tramp under an upturned boat on Southend beach. Then it got worse!

But after three failed suicide attempts, and a visit to an old friend, life again started to change for the better. A whole lot better.

Norwich branch president Barrie Lawrence said: “Dave is an engaging speaker, and not without humour. His story is remarkable, unique, and authentic. He is a fulfilled man who uses every opportunity to help others, both in the UK and India, and share the good news of Jesus.”

Dave will inspire you as he brings his wonderful testimony to our monthly FGB Dinner on Wednesday October 26.
