Canon Gill Butterworth CJN will be leading a Julian retreat at St John’s Timberhill in Norwich on the theme of ‘Comfort and Courtesie’.

In this time of retreat together we shall look at some of the ways in which Julian of Norwich experienced and considered these attributes of God, as she saw them, and reflect on what impact they may have on us and how they might enrich our own lives and faith as we seek to understand further the love of God and the God of Love.

The two-day, in-person retreat takes place on Friday October 7 and Saturday October 8 at St John’s Timberhill NR1 3LA.

Sheringham and Cromer Choral Society will be holding their popular annual Come & Sing event, which takes the form of an all-day workshop at Lighthouse followed by a “scratch” concert performance at St Peter’s Church in Sheringham which is open to all. The participants will be rehearsing and performing Mozart's Coronation Mass, led by musical director David Ballard and accompanied by Philip Adams. Tickets for the workshop and concert are £10, and Pre-booking is essential. Please complete the Booking Form which can be found on the Come & Sing page of the Society’s website. The day will conclude with a retiring collection.

Come and hear how God is at work among some of the most difficult to reach people groups in the world. Join us for a morning of inspiring stories and prayer.

A talk on the contemplative way, followed by meditation practice with Jim Green - Oblate of the World Community for Christian Meditation and author of 'Giving Up without Giving Up: Meditation and Depressions'.

St Stephen’s in Norwich will be hosting an evening in October with Patrick Regan OBE, as he explores themes from his book ‘Bouncing Forwards’.

Patrick is CEO and co-founder of Kintsugi Hope, which came about following a series of trials and ill-health affecting him and his family. Kintsugi is a Japanese technique for repairing pottery with seams of gold, and the strapline of the charity is 'discovering treasure in life's scars'. Prior to founding Kintsugi Hope, he led the urban youth work charity XLP, which he founded in 1996 and led for 22 years.
