Norwich YFC summer 2017
Latest news from Norwich Youth for Christ

It's been a busy summer for Norwich Youth for Christ (Norwich YFC) as they reflect on their outreach activities and schools work - and also say goodbye to four staff members.

Paul Roast is taking over from Ang Fox as director of North Breckland YFC. Becca Savory is taking an office management role at Oak Grove Community Church. Dave Cossey has been accepted into ordination training. Rupert Appleton has finished his three year student placement with Norwich YFC.

Director Nick Blanch said, "I'm sad we're losing them and grateful for their incredible service over the years - a total of 24 years between them! I'm also encouraged that they are empowered by His spirit to move forwards in God's vision and fulfil the plans he has for them."

Two new gap year placements - Amber and Tim - will be starting in September.

Highlights of the year for Norwich YFC include performing live music at the Celebrate event at the Forum in Norwich and also a presence at the Royal Norfolk Show, which included a karaoke competition. These events provided meaningful engagement with around 250 people and was a chance to present a postive public witness and to work with other organisations.

There are plans for Norwich YFC to provide alternative education for young people who are struggling to achieve, news about staff members who have become coaches and prayer points for the future.
