Norwich church stages Christmas concert extravaganza

On the weekend of December 16-17, Norwich church Proclaimers are planning an extravagant, free Christmas concert with a children’s party, Santa’s grotto and music from a range of genres including Spandau Ballet, Nat King Cole and Queen.

The 2017 Christmas Concert hosted by Proclaimers at The Space once again promises to be an extravagant Christmas presentation to the city of Norwich and beyond.
Last year one attendee commented that they were “blown away by the level of talent on display” while another said “my kids loved it so much they wanted to stay for the next one straight after!”
There will be three performances of the concert on Saturday, December 16 at 5pm, and Sunday, December 17 at 3pm and 5pm.
Pastor Tom Rawls of Proclaimers said: “It’s going to be fun, inspirational and will literally take your breath away! This will be a concert you will be able to invite your friends to and feel confident they will not only enjoy the production but they will see, hear and understand the real meaning of Christmas. Get hold of your free ticket and we’ll see you there, you might want to arrive early to get a good seat!”
Gemma Neill, Associate Pastor of Proclaimers said: “Every year Proclaimers seeks to offer something a little bit different, while still keeping the Christmas message of Jesus at the centre of it all. This year our Creative Team have pushed themselves to the limits yet again to bring you a unique and special presentation.

"We are taking inspiration from a whole variety of musical genres to put together something that will appeal to the whole family. From a new romantic style rework of a favourite old Christmas carol to a duet with the ‘voice of Christmas’ Nat King Cole this year is set to be better than ever.”
In recent years Proclaimers Christmas events have been standing room only, so this year tickets are available either online by clicking here or by collection from The Space.
There will be a prize draw for all ticket holders, Christmas snacks and loads of activities for children and parents alike. Each concert will feature a free children’s party for 1-11 year olds which includes a free Santa’s grotto.
