Roy Crowne will give leadership masterclass in Norwich

Executive director of HOPE, Roy Crowne, will be giving a masterclass on Christian leadership as part of the year’s Celebrate Norwich & Norfolk event at the Forum in Norwich on Saturday June 16, in partnership with HOPE 2018.

The former national director of British Youth For Christ will present an hour-long masterclass from 11am aimed at local church and Christian organisation and business leaders.

A well-known figure in the UK Christian community, Roy comes from an engineering background and went on to study theology.  He then worked for Youth for Christ for 28 years, the last 13 years being as YFC’s National Director.

Roy’s passion is to see the Church working together for the purpose of mission. He was co-founder of Hope 08, alongside Andy Hawthorne and Mike Pilavachi, and is now Executive Director of HOPE, a mission initiative working together with the UK Church to make Jesus known.

Roy said: “I love to see the Church at the heart of the community putting faith into words and action. The focus of my work this year is on HOPE 2018 – a year when we seek to make Jesus known in both word and actions.”

Organiser Julian Bryant said: “If you lead a church, an organisation or a group then this is for you. Roy brings years of experience, insight and wisdom about leading and developing people and growing initiatives effectively in a Christian context. If you want to develop your leadership skills then don’t miss this opportunity.”

The masterclass will take place in the Auditorium Theatre in the Forum in Norwich as part of the Celebrate Norwich & Norfolk event which takes place from 9am to 4pm on Saturday June 16, filling the Forum and Millennium Plain.

The masterclass costs just £5.50.
