Norwich conference to explore the Israel of the Bible

The Prophetic Bible School, The Way of the Spirit, is inviting Christians to a two-day conference looking afresh at what the Bible says about Israel and what it means for the church today.

The Way of the Spirit, the Norfolk-based Prophetic Bible School, is running a two-day conference in East Norwich called ‘Understanding Israel: Taking a Closer Look at God and the Church’.  The event is for those who know a lot about Israel, those who know only a little or those who are just curious, to hear what God is saying today to the church.

The non-residential conference will take place from Thursday, October 25, 7.30pm to Saturday, October 27 at 1pm in Lingwood, East Norwich.

The conference comes after several events held by The Way of the Spirit raised the subject of Israel and the team felt called to explore it further.

Richard George, Director of The Way of the Spirit said: “We have gone on a significant journey over this past year! During a conference last year, as we followed Paul's argument from the beginning of the letter to the Romans and came to a fresh understand of his heart in writing as he did, God's unfinished purposes for Israel became very clear. This wasn't an entirely new concept for many of us, though we realised we had, as a ministry, rather side-lined the whole issue.
“In November of last year, Jane Urquhart came and spoke to us which sparked further thought.  It is time to come see afresh what the bible actually says, and repent of any passivity we have had regarding this whole subject.”
As a result The Way of the Spirit team has been looking deeper into what the Bible says about Israel and has begun to tackle some of the more challenging questions around it.

Richard said: “This has resulted in our decision to hold a first conference for us to share what we are discovering: to share what the Bible says!”

The cost of the conference is £45 per person including lunch on Friday and Saturday.  To book email Dawn on who will provide a list of B&B's if required.
