Life-sized nativity scene outside South Norfolk church

A life-sized Nativity Tableau has been constructed outside a South Norfolk church and has been attracting admiring glances from passers-by.

Steven Halstead, from Carleton Rode Baptist Church, said: “For several years now, our chapel has constructed a Nativity Tableau, outside the church. The stable is made up of odd pieces of wood, old fence panels, and anything else we could salvage - but isn't that a good representation of the humble abode our Lord Jesus was born in?

“The central characters of Mary, Joseph, the Magi and Shepherds, are all depicted in silhouette and back-lit at night.  We invite all who pass along Chapel Lane, to stop a moment and ponder the scene, and remember the real meaning of Christmas.”

The Tableau was constructed on December 3 and will remain in place for the whole Christmas period.
You can find the church at NR16 1RN.
