Singers invited to join Norwich carol event
Celebrate Norfolk is looking for choirs, church groups and other ad-hoc groups of singers who are willing and able to join the charity’s carol-singing event in Norwich city centre on Saturday December 19.
Celebrate project director, John Betts, said: “Our plan is to make an impact on the Christmas shoppers in the city on that day. We are looking for choirs and singers who will be placed at strategic points around the city centre. They will all sing Christmas carols, offer appropriate Christian leaflets and tell of God’s plan and purpose in sending Jesus to redeem us. We hope to fill the city with the sound of the gospel and put Jesus back into Christmas.
“The commitment will be for one hour, the same hour for all the choirs and groups. In this way as people pass through the city they will hear and see from every angle Christian people who are not ashamed of the Gospel, proudly singing of the Saviour’s love and proclaiming the hope of the Christmas message to all,” said John.
If you and your group, who can sing carols, share the vision, please contact John Betts at email@example.com and give him details of yourself and your group.
The Celebrate Norfolk team will co-ordinate the project and do everything else which needs to be done to ensure the success of the project.
