Lesley retires from TimeNorfolk after 13 years
Lesley Bradfield, the director of pregnancy loss charity TimeNorfolk is retiring during the first part of 2021 after being part of the charity for 13 years.
Lesley first joined TimeNorfolk as a volunteer then became Centre Manager, Head of Operations and then Director and has expanded the organisation during this time. TimeNorfolk is a Christian charity that offers counselling support to women, men and their partners across Norfolk who have an unplanned pregnancy, a pregnancy loss or those who need support during a pregnancy.
During her time as Director, Lesley established a Time Norfolk office in Great Yarmouth and responded to need in the West of the county by recruiting trained practitioners in King’s Lynn. Lesley and her team have built valuable links with health professionals and run training for midwives in the specialist area of baby loss.
Over the years, Lesley has supported hundreds of women and men through pregnancy loss, many of whom describe the compassion and loving support offered by Lesley, the paid staff and volunteers as a ‘lifeline’.
Lesley’s husband Fred Bradfield joined the team in 2016 will also retire from his role as Head of Administration in February 2021
Lesley said, “It has not been an easy decision but we have felt that this is where God is leading us to and we would like to have a little more time with each other and our family. TimeNorfolk has played a huge part in my life for many years now.”
“I will miss all the team, volunteers, supporters, Trustees, our community and obviously our clients hugely. I have been really blessed to have been entrusted to lead TimeNorfolk and it has been a privilege and very humbling, it will always have a place in my heart.”
It is important for Lesley and Fred to leave the charity in capable hands, so the recruitment of their roles is underway. Please click below to view the adverts.
