Exploring the intersection of Race and Faith

The April meeting of Norwich Interfaith link on April 27 welcomes Rev Karlene Kerr talking about 'Exploring the intersection of Race and Faith'.

Rev Karlene Kerr is the Norwich Anglican Diocese Bishop’s Adviser for Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic Affairs. She said, "My passion is for justice, ensuring all BAME staff are on an equal footing, and that there is an intention to address racism as antithetical to the gospel, working together to ensure the church is a place where, whatever their role, class, race or ethnicity, all feel welcomed, valued and respected. My role  is being a “critical friend” of the Bishops, giving honest feedback. I will be having open and honest discussions, listening without judgement and assumptions, acknowledging and celebrating diversity and differences as a gift from God."

Is religion part of the problem or part of the answer?
