Stalham Baptist Church concert cancelled
The concert by Christian band Out of Egypt at Stalham Baptist Church next Saturday has been cancelled owing to the sad news of the death of Her Majesty the Queen.
The concert was part of a series of events held at the church to raise funds for the refurbishment of part of the church premises, which is expected to cost around £600,000, most of which needs to be raised before work can commence. At least 230,000 has already been raised.
Greg Chapman from Out of Egypt said "Stalham Baptist Church has been in discussion with the Stalham Business Forum. They were planning their delayed Jubilee Street Party (which was rained off) to be held on Sunday 18 September. That is now to be cancelled. In turn, it has now been agreed that it would be inappropriate for the church to hold its concert on the Saturday."
It is hoped that the concert will be held at a later date.
