Support Network Norfolk during Indie News Week

Along with dozens of other independent local news websites across the country, Network Norfolk is taking part in Indie News Week 2026 by staging a free Art of Storytelling workshop and by asking readers to consider supporting its work.

INW combinedlogo 2026x750Indie News Week runs from June 15 to 19, and is backed by the Public Interest News Foundation, which is the UK’s first and only charity working to regenerate local news. Scores of events will be held across the country, including in Norwich.

Network Norfolk is one of the longest-established independent community news websites in the country and last year marked its 20th anniversary. The website provides a free news and information service to the Christian community right across Norfolk, produced by professional writers and editors.

The cost of the website, and the associated Good News for Norfolk newspaper, is around £100 every day and readers already provide generous support for the work with regular or one-off donations.

Editor Keith Morris said: “During Indie News Week we would like to take the opportunity to extend our grateful thanks to those many individuals, churches and Christians organisations who already support our work. If you have not so far been able to make a donation, we would ask you to consider doing so during this week which highlights the important role of websites such as ours.”

“To mark Indie News Week, we also wanted to offer an extra free service to our readers - an Art of Storytelling workshop in Norwich on Wed June 17. There are still a few places available and you can email me if you would like to attend and learn how to create engaging content and compelling stories about your work or organisation.”
