Mid Norfolk Church offers free taster of theological study

On Saturday, May 12 the Fountain of Life Church in Ashill is hosting its Kingdom Theology Event in association with Westminster Theological Centre with Freddy Hedley exploring the theology of ‘Living in Covenant Today'.

The next Kingdom Theology Event takes place at the Fountain of Life’s Well Christian Centre, Ashill on Saturday, May 12, 10am – 4pm.
Director of the Fountain School of Theology Freddy Hedley will talk on the theme of ‘Formed by God’s Presence: Living in Covenant Today’.
During the day there will be time for worship, ministry, fellowship, and the opportunity to hear more about the Westminster Theological Centre (WTC) and the courses available in this region. The free event is a great opportunity for those looking to go deeper with theology, and those considering studying with WTC.
Freddy Hedley teaches Biblical Studies in both Old and New Testaments at Westminster Theological Centre, as well as being the Director of Fountain School of Theology in Norfolk.

He is currently undertaking a PhD in Old Testament scholarship at King's College London, researching the influence of covenant theology in the Book of Lamentations. He is the author of The God of Page One (2012) and The Colossian Image (2016).
Freddy said: “Central to the Christian faith is the assurance that God is a covenant-making God. In the Old Testament, He makes covenants with individuals such as Abraham and David, with the nation of Israel, and even with the whole of creation, and within these covenants are to be found God’s promises, His protection, and His provision.
“In the New Testament, Jesus frames his sacrifice and the new life it brings within this same assurance of covenant: “This cup is the new covenant in my blood” (Luke 22:20). But what does the Bible mean when it speaks of ‘covenant’, and what are the implications for those in covenant with God today?”
Refreshments will be provided, but please bring a packed lunch.
