Hebron to Hebron
Hebron to Hebron fundraising challenge

Two staff members from Norfolk Christian charity Hebron House will travel 350 miles across the country – with no money and by any means possible – to raise funding to support others to overcome addiction.

Hebron House is a residential drug and alcohol rehabilitation home for women.

The challenge will start from Hebron House in Norwich on July 2 and the two members of staff will have five days to reach their destination of the village of Hebron in Wales. This will mean they will have to travel approximately 80 miles every day.

They will be taking no money with them and will be using any means of transport available to them. Their fundraising target is £10,000, which would pay for a bursary at Hebron House for a woman who doesn’t have social care funding to access rehab for six months.

The staff members are asking for people to sponsor them and all money raised will go directly towards this placement, an opportunity described as ‘really life changing’.

The journey from Hebron to Hebron will be uncertain and it is not an easy challenge – by undertaking such a task, the staff want to raise awareness of the difficulties women in addiction face in trying to obtain funding for rehab.
