Norwich church offers printing and perishables
St Francis church in Heartsease, Norwich, has offered to help families which are home schooling, and to run deliveries from its community fridge.
The team at St Francis Church became aware that with schools closing children are being sent work electronically. Some of this work needs to be printed and not everybody will have access to a printer; or some families may find it difficult to afford sufficient paper and ink at this time.
The church is therefore offering a service to families who live on the estate. It will print up to 50 sides (25 sheets) of black and white worksheets or booklets free of charge. Over 50 sides it will charge at 1p per side for black & white and 5p per side for any colour printing.
If this is still too expensive then Rev Janet Wyer may be able to offer a further free service; families are invited to contact her on 07990 576118. If people can afford a little more, then donations will be accepted to help those that cannot pay, and to support any of the church’s other work at this difficult time.
Whilst the Heartsease Fridge is closed to visitors, the project is still taking referrals, so that it can deliver items. With the help of volunteers, it is continuing to help families or individuals who may be struggling to get bread, eggs, or fresh fruit and vegetables. There are also other limited non-perishables available.
The group is happy to support and help anyone in the Parish of St Francis and has volunteers ready to deliver what is needed.
