Gorleston church seeks Operations Coordinator 

St Mary Magdalene Church, Gorleston is seeking to recruit a full-time Operations Coordinator to support the ministry of this growing, thriving church.

St Mary Magdalene is the parish church for a 1950’s council estate, ranking amongst the 10% most deprived parishes nationally. It has grown from an elderly congregation of 17 in 2018 to a demographically diverse congregation of 70 in 2022 with a thriving youth and children’s ministry.
 
We are now recruiting a full-time Operations Coordinator to support the ministry of this evangelical church with an ethos of integral mission. The church penetration into the community is multi-dimensional (and well-respected by the local council). It includes:

• Community help-line
• Trussell Trust foodbank (offering sign-posting & specialist financial advice)
• Active schools work
• Hope into Action house for the homeless
• Evangelistic courses (incl. Hope Explored, Christianity Explored, Start & Alpha)
• Annual community events attracting thousands

As well as Church-led clubs for:

• Dementia Carers,
• Youth
• Isolated and/or vulnerable adults
• Parent and Toddlers

 
The successful applicant will join a leadership team energised by the gospel and seeing its transforming impact on the estate.
