Holt - Filling Station meeting

Simon was awarded an MBE by the Queen in 2018 for services to development in Burundi. He is the founder and International Director of Great Lakes Outreach (GLO), a Christian charity working in war-torn Central Africa. GLO works strategically with outstanding Burundian leaders across many fields for the transformation of the country, one of the world’s poorest nations. GLO’s projects include building schools, AIDS sensitisation, empowering street children, supporting orphanages, providing micro finance, entrepreneurship and training initiatives, developing agriculture, reaching out to communities, and more.
There will also be a time  for prayer ministry at the end of the evening. Please feel able to arrive at from  7pm for coffee, cakes and chat, for a 7.30 start

Celebrate Norwich & Norfolk Prayer
Friday 31 January, The Forum, Millennium Plain, Norwich
Please come and join the Celebrate team and others in prayer at the Forum in Norwich to pray for this year's event on June 20 and for all who participate and attend. This prayer makes such a difference.
We meet at 7.30pm at the Café Bar Marzano. Get a coffee and join in the prayer session right where Celebrate happens.
The other prayer dates at the Forum are: February 28, March 27, April 24, May 22 and June 12.

On Friday, January 10 Call to Prayer will begin a series of training sessions focussing on destiny. It will encourage participants to explore who God has made them to be, their calling and purpose. The sessions will start with coffee at 9 am, followed by worship at 9.30 am and a 1pm finish.

The programme runs until Friday, February 14. Participates are encouraged to bring a journal. There is no charge but an offering will be taken each week.
Bungay - Releasing Creativity art based...

Over the next six months the Quiet Waters Christian Retreat House, set in a large Georgian House on the Suffolk and Norfolk border, is hosting a series of four art-based day retreats to consider the gift of creativity.  

The leaders of CARM (Creative Arts Retreat Movement) Brian and Claire Watts will lead the series giving time to reflect on God’s creativity, creativity in the Bible, and where it all fits with our own faith journeys.

All materials and lunch are provided. The retreats cost £30 for each one-day session or £100 for all four sessions.

The Watoto Children’s Choir will be partaking in the three morning services at 9am, 10:30am and 12:30pm on Sunday 2 February, with a full concert at 5pm, featuring songs from their new album.
Thorpe Market - Snowdrop Sundays
12:00pm Sunday 2 February, St Margaret’s Church, Thorpe Market, Norfolk,
St Margaret’s Church in Thorpe Market will be continuing its programme of community events again this winter with a series of “Snowdrop Sundays” during February, which will include art exhibitions. The snowdrops attracted over 1200 visitors over four Sundays last year, raising valuable funds to help to keep the church and churchyard in good order, available for community use and, most importantly, open as a place of worship for the people of the village and further afield. This year there will again be rotating exhibitions by local and visiting artists in the church, as well as stalls from local businesses. Home-made cakes and refreshments will be available.

Cromer - mental health meeting

Public meeting being organised by the Campaign to Save Mental Health Services in North Norfolk.
For the last year the Campaign has been lobbying for major improvements in local
mental health services, including a walk-in clinic and a locally-based community
team. All are invited to attend the public meeting and become part of a powerful coalition for change on

Watton - Free Trustee Training

A free training session  to take trustees through their legal accountabilities and answer questions will be held at Watton Pentecostal Church in February run by Advice For The Voluntary Sector, a support and advice organisation for charities and churches.  The training is free to small charities with an annual income of under £150k. For larger charities, with an annual income of more than £150k there is a charge of £90. Bungay - A day of worship and reflection...

Quiet Waters Christian Retreat House is hosting a day of worship and reflection with music, Scripture, prayer and time to be still. Listen to and seek God whilst spending time in the chapel, by the river and in the grounds. The day includes lunch and refreshments. Led times of worship with live music will take place from 10am-12noon, and 2pm-4pm and guests are welcome to join in or spend time in the house and grounds. The event costs £25

Gorleston - Unlock the Bible
10:00am Saturday 22 February, St Mary Magdalene church, Magdalen Square, Gorleston,
A free training day to help Christians to share their faith in urban areas where traditional bible studies may not be so effective.
The training will be delivered by Dawn Lonsdale, chief officer with Unlock Training. This is an opportunity open to anyone across the Eastern Region of England who may be interested in learning more about Unlock's approach to the Bible, giving both clergy and laity insights and practical, hands-on experience in applying this approach to Bible engagement with small groups of oral learners in their local area.
